Scottish news again

Here we go again: Some hot news from my favourite resort!
Read the mail i've got some days ago:

Hi Matthias,

We had another big snow fall last week and the weather was almost kind for “The Highlander” competition last Saturday. “The Highlander” was held on the (quickly rebuilt on Friday) Fiacaill park due to high mist and too much snow on top. “The Highlander” is part of a series run by Snowsport Scotland’s, Highland Snowsports Development Officer, Donald Hall. Donald runs “The Highlander” events at each of the snowsports areas in Scotland; in the autumn he also runs a series round the artificial slopes and snowdomes in Scotlandcalled “The Lowlander”.

Although Cairngorm was closed yesterday and today because of high winds, which are quite mild, there will still be plenty snow and a new park at the top on the Ptarmigan for Cairngorm Snowboard Club, VANS Dawn of the Shred competition, this Saturday 10th April. This is an annual event for the club and VANS who support the club whenever they can. Some of the VANS riders come along and if not to broken join in the fun on the hill. This year the event is attracting a few well known British riders, Scott McMorris, Chris Chatt, Ian Thrashmore, Aimee Fuller, Ben Kilner, Lesley McKenna, Angus Leith, and maybe Jenny Jones which is all good for Cairngorm.

The After Party is in The Vault, Aviemore with Dalikfodda, their first venture into Scotland.

You can find photos from “The Highlander” now and from “Dawn of the Shred” next Sunday/Monday at www.action-heroes.co.uk/galleries2/Highlander10/index.html

Slàinte,
